Creating a Decarbon account

After you 📲Get the app, open up Decarbon. Welcome, welcome!

You'll first be prompted to either sign up or sign in. There are three different options for authenticating: Apple, Google, and email.

Sign up with Apple

You can use your Apple ID to securely and conveniently authenticate with Decarbon. If you're planning to only access Decarbon on iOS devices, this is the recommended option.

💡

When you sign up for Decarbon with Apple, you can choose to join anonymously using Apple's Private Relay feature. By selecting Private Relay, Decarbon won't have access to your email address (you’ll still get our emails, but relayed via Apple).

Sign up with Google

Signing up for Decarbon with Google is a simple option if you have a Gmail account. This option is available across all devices.

Sign up with email & password

You can type in your email and a password greater than 6 characters in length. This option is available across all devices.

You can change the email and password for your account in the app under the main menu > Account. Then follow the steps provided to confirm the changes.

Deleting a Decarbon account

You can delete all of your data, including bank links, from Decarbon's database from within the app. Go to the main menu > Account > Delete Account > confirm the deletion. Once you tap "Delete" in the confirmation dialog, all of your associated data will be deleted within a few minutes. This is irreversible!

Decarbon outside the USA

You can use Decarbon anywhere, but the experience is currently optimized for individuals living in the United States.
